Fishers, Ind. – The Terrorz of Tiny Towns’ Diesel Dollz dominated Circle City’s Party Crashers 274-98 on their home turf at The Forum in Fishers, Indiana, on May 4. The Dollz established a solid lead of 35-7 by the end of the third jam, and the Dollz never relinquished this advantage for the remainder of the night.

Although Party Crashers’ blockers were able to prevent Tiny Towns’ jammers from scoring more than just a few points on most jams, a handful of high-scoring jams for the Dollz allowed them to outscore the Party Crashers by nearly two to one in the first period. The majority of points that Tiny Towns put on the board in the first half were during power jams while Circle City’s Wrecker Becker and Richie Whip were in the box: a 27-point jam, a 22-point jam, a 30-point jam, and an 18-point jam resulted in 97 of the Dollz’ 121 points in the first half. The Party Crashers were able to clinch 30 points from two 15-point power jams of their own, with Robin Sock’em jamming during both. The first period closed at 121-67 for Tiny Towns.

The second period brought more of the same: a slew of non-scoring jams for the Party Crashers, numerous low-scoring jams for the Dollz, and a handful of high-scoring jams for the Dollz. Both teams snagged roughly half their points from power jams, with the Terrorz of Tiny Towns putting 158 points on the board during power jams and the Party Crashers scoring 45 from power jams. The Diesel Dollz prevailed, with a final score of 274-98.

The quick-paced bout was packed with hard hits and even harder falls, with Circle City’s Richie Whip and Wrecker Becker taking some painful-looking spills onto the concrete. Both skaters – who did double-duty as jammers and blockers – retaliated with ferocious hits of their own. Their brutal hits, along with those of power-blockers Bona Contention and Tiny Ann Mighty, prevented Tiny Towns from scoring in 21 of the night’s 47 jams. Unfortunately for Circle City, the Diesel Dollz proved to be even tougher, and continued to pound on the Party Crashers. Circle City’s Gunn Hoe was sent face-first into the concrete during the second period, ending the jam early as the medics rushed onto the track. Fortunately, Gunn was up and back on the track soon after.

The Party Crashers’ loss to Tiny Towns brings them to a 1-1 record for the season. Next the team travels to northern Indiana where they battle the South Bend Roller Girls on May 11.
