Narrow Loss to Chicago Outfit’s Shade Brigade Caps Off 2012 CCDG Home Season

A neck-and-neck battle for victory against the Chicago Outfit’s Shade Brigade brought the Circle City Derby Girls’ 2012 home season to a thrilling finish on August 11 at the Forum at Fishers. CCDG’s Socialites squad took an early lead, one they gripped tightly for 10 jams before the Outfit pulled ahead, 15-11. The Outfit would hold the lead until nearly halfway through the second period, when a 19-point jam by Roll-R Damage shot the Socialites into the lead. The teams battled it for the final 20 minutes of play, with the Outfit ultimately prevailing, 114-107.
Earlier in the evening, CCDG’s Party Crashers squad suffered a sounder defeat at the hands of the Outfit’s Shakedown team, who triumphed 181-73. CCDG’s Bona Contention sent jammers to the floor, then proved equally adept at holding them back once they had gotten back to their feet, and teammate Wrecker Becker showed her usual hustle and ability to quickly locate holes and seal them up.
This double-header was the final home bout of the year for CCDG. Huge thanks to all of our fans for a great 2012 season!
